Oui Please... Most definitely

I've been doing the subscription box thing for a while- some I've kept, like Fabfitfun, Yuzen, Nina Garcia's Quarterly Box, and Popsugar, others I've grown bored with and have cancelled, like Birchbox, Glossybox, Ipsy, Wantables, Sample Society, etc. Recently I stumbled a new subscription box that I just had to try- Oui Please.  At first glance the subscription seemed a bit pricey for a mixture of surprise items, but after reading some of the reviews from others who had subscribed and received the box the cost seemed totally worth it. Usually subscription boxes receive mixed reviews, but the majority of this box's reviews, from what I could see, were rave reviews. So I headed over to the website and signed up for their flagship box called "Vol. 1.1 Paris, I miss you".

My box was to be delivered Friday by Fed-Ex. However, when I came home Friday evening I found a door tag from Fed-Ex-my box needed a direct signature to be released. As disappointed as I was that I wouldn't be spending my Friday night opening my box, I realized that the value must be extremely high for them to require a signature. I spent rest of the night reading others reviews on their boxes, and imagining what might be in mine. I couldn't wait!!

I woke up early Saturday and the suspense was killing me. If the door tag delivery time from the day before was any indication, a second deliver attempt would be around 10:30 A.M. I patiently waited around the house, finding things to keep me busy until my box arrived. Soon there was a knock on my door and the delivery man was standing there holding a beautiful black box from Oui Please.  I quickly signed for it and ran inside to see what I was sent.

The first thing I noticed was that the box was much heavier than I had expected.   Most subscription boxes weight less than 5lbs, this box was clearly over that!  I must say Oui Please has the most elegant wrapping! Just unboxing it you know you're in for something amazing, and what was inside did not disappoint!!
Vol. 1.1 Paris I Miss You
1951 Maison Française Leather Clutch in Brown (XL with chain) $100
Christian Lacroix Leatherbound 2015 Dated Diary $30, Dame D Necklace $45, Tassia Canellis Earrings in white $45
Charlotte Sometime Leather Wallet in Brown $40, Popup Scented Candle in Desert Storm $35
Marlette Cereal Bars with Figs and Apricots $10, Maison de la Truffe Grey Salt from Guérande with Summer Truffle $25, Le Bénéfique Tea Springs $5
Atelier Cologne Vanilla Insensée $25, Sothys Morning Cleanser $33, Sothys Desquacream $34, Myriam K Anti-Frizz Serum $50
Complimentary copy of the latest issue of "Et Voila" magazine.  Inside you'll find simple French recipes, style advice, interviews, lifestyle pieces, and discover the full range of current products that were distributed throughout that volume's box.
Total Value= $477!!!
I don't think I've ever received such luxurious, amazing things in one box before. Typically subscription boxes have one or two items to covet and the rest are so-so. This box was full of things I coveted, none of which was so-so.

It's not often that I can say the price justifies the take away, as far as subscription boxes are concerned, but with this box it's more than justified! Although this is their flagship box, Oui Please hit it out of the park!! I'm beyond impressed and there is no way this box is ending up on my cancel list!!

It should be noted that this subscription is not monthly-it comes every two months.  Each box features a different region of France, and features a unique selection of full sized French products- unlike most subscription boxes that only offer samples, or deluxe samples.  This volume was all about Paris, next volume features Normandie. Oui Please offers three different membership options: Single parcel $175, Month-to-month $150, or Annual pre-paid $650.

The excitement for my next box is already high, and waiting for it to be delivered will be torture, but from my impression of this box, the wait is totally worth it! Sadly, for those of you who are interested in the Vol. 1.1 Paris, I Miss You box, it is too late to subscribe but it's not too late to subscribe for next months box, Vol. 1.2 Dreaming of Normadie, sohead over to Oui Please and sign up!! I promise you won't be disappointed!!  I've embedded the link to Oui Please throughout this post, so just click on their name and you'll be right where you need to be.

Glossybox & Bergdorf Goodman May 2014 Collaboration Box

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription that costs $21.00 a month.  Glossybox contains deluxe samples, and at times full size products. This months box was a collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman

Glossybox's are usually pink however this month in honor of the collaboration Glossybox is Bergdorf Goodman lavender. As always it comes beautiful wrapped.

Each Glossybox also comes with a fold out card detailing what is inside your box.

This is a definite must purchase!!! My hair felt amazing after using it and on top of that it smells heavenly!! I have thin, color processed hair, so I was worried it would leave my hair greasy or weighted down but it didn't- my hair felt shinier and healthier than it had in a long time!! This is a deluxe sample so I should be able to get another use or two out of it before I have to purchase the full size, which I will definitely be doing! It's not too pricey which I also love!!

I'm loving this eye serum but not loving the price- $140.00?!? I have only used my sample once, and while I liked the product, I am hoping that I do not end up loving it by the end of the sample because I am not sure that I can justify spending that much on eye serum. But, if it does what it claims (improves appearance of saggy skin and wrinkles) I may have to find a way to be okay with the price.

I'm not really a big user of primer but I love this one!! The primer I've used in the past have always made me feel like I was wearing an extra layer of foundation/powder but this primer is thing and glides seamlessly with your makeup. I might have to start using this as a regular in my beauty routine, as it helped my makeup stay on longer and made it look as fresh at the end of the day as it did when I left the house in the morning.

Last night before bed I tried this eye cream. It's super hydrating and helped me wake up looking fresh, not swollen and baggy. I used it again this morning while doing my makeup. This eye cream is great but a little pricey so I will have to use the whole sample before deciding whether or not to purchase this product. Glossybox provided me with a deluxe sample so I should be able to get a good deal of use out of it before making my decision.

I'm in love with this elixir!! The price tag however is slightly scary, LOL!! It smells amazing and feels like silk on your skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave you greasy so you can use this under makeup with no problem. It moisturizes great- perfect for summer- but in the winter months might need to be paired with a moisturizer.  As much as I love this product I do not think it is something I can justify spending that much money on; however, if this price works with your budget I would highly recommend this product.

I am impressed by the size of this sample!! Most perfume samples in subscription boxes are rather small but this is a deluxe sample that lives up to its name. I just wish I was a "rose" person- sadly I am not- but my mother will love it!!

Glossybox also included a Bergdof Goodman $25.00 gift certificate in the May box. This will come in handy when I run through my samples and try to decide what I want to purchase in the full size version.

This was a great month for Glossybox!! Last month I was a little disappointed in my box- most of the items I had already gotten in other sample boxes- and I considered canceling my subscription but am glad I didn't!! I'm already stoked to find out what's in store for June!!

What do you think of the May Glossybox Bergdorf Goodman collaboration?

Socialbliss May 2014 Stylebox Review

Socialbliss is a monthly subscription that give you an introduction to the hottest things in fashion, as well as exclusive products.  You can purchase style boxes monthly for $39.95, or subscribe to the annual subscription for $35.00 a month.

Unlike Birchbox and Glossybox this subscription doesn't come in a separate box (a box within a box).  Socialbliss packages their style boxes in standard shipping boxes (with their logo on the outside) and instead of packing the inside with another box.

With just one rip of the paper you can see all the goodies included in your style box.

Each style box includes a pamphlet detailing the products included.  Each style box is the same, so unlike other subscription boxes there is no guessing what your style box will contain- so if you like the element of surprise I suggest not searching anything "socialbliss" or "stylebox" related until you receive yours.  I try to hold out and make it a surprise, but as soon as I see the shipping notice in my email I can't help but search the internet for clues at to what might be inside.

I am in love with these cleansing towelettes!!  I used some today when I got home from the gym and they work awesome!!  Not only does my skin feel clean and fresh but it also feel super soft and moisturized.  I am also excited that this is a full size product, so I will be able to use this for quite some time before purchasing more on my own.

I am really looking forward to trying this eyelash curler!!  I have super long lashes and rarely curl them because I find some lash curlers to be too difficult to use (too much pulling and off curling) but this version seems like it would be much easier to use!

Your eyes are not deceiving you, this is a FULL size product which retails for $140.00!!  I have been dying to try this but haven't had the courage to shell out the cash, and haven't been able to find any deluxe samples to give it a go.  Socialbliss really hit it out of the park with this!! This product has been tested and proven to be just as effective as botox or more so!!  You only need a dime-sized portion on your face each night so this bottle should last for a while!!

I absolutely love hair ties like this!!  They are super soft, and keep your hair in place without pulling your hair.  If you're wearing your hair down but think you might want to pull it up later, make sure to put one of these on your wrist before you head out the door- they have super cute designs, so sliding one on your arm will look like you're wearing a trendy bracelet on your arm (until you're ready to pull it off and put it to use).

The Spa Package $15.00
I cannot find a place to purchase this spa package online so I am assuming it is exclusive for Socialbliss.  Sunday evenings are usually my "bath nights" where I devote the evening to pampering myself before heading back to work on Monday, so I am looking forward to including these loofahs in my Sunday spa routine!!

Last month's style box features an Izzy & Ali handbag, which I LOVED, so I was super excited to open up this months style box to see a coin purse!!

The suede is super soft, and I really like the tassel on the end- it dresses it up enough you could also use it as a small clutch for those nights out where you need to bring a few things with you but don't want to carry a purse or a big clutch.

This super cute clip was given to the first 200 subscribers who used the code "GLEEFULME."

I love Gleeful Peacock's designs and was excited to receive this clip!!  The hardware is super strong so it will keep your hair in place, while giving you a super cute boho look in your hair.

I am very happy with my May style box!! Since summer is here I am already dreaming about what might be included in next months box!!

What do you think of Socialbliss's May style box?

Glossybox June 2014 Spoiler

Glossybox is sold out of May's Begdorf Goodman collaboration box. They've released a spoiler about their June box.
The theme seems to be America, 4th of July, and/or Memorial Day- which is kind of ironic because, if you're like me, your Glossybox always arrives at the end of the month (in the last remaining days of the month) or the beginning of the next month- rarely do you receive a Glossybox in the same month the box is advertised to be. That said, Glossybox is worth the wait. My last box left a little to be desired, and I debated on canceling but I'm going to stick it out for a full six months before I cut the cord (which would be July).

I did some research on the June spoiler teaser to see if anyone else had any inside info or clues, and found a few interesting things:

Through a google search I noticed that the June 2013 box had an "American Beauty" theme. Since the spoiler picture Glossybox just sent out seems to have the same theme (visually, a specific name for the box hasn't been released yet), I'm wondering if they are going with the same theme. I was not a subscriber at that time last year but maybe sales were so good they decided to continue the theme this year with different products.

I also logged onto my favorite subscription box discussion site Makeup Talk to see what else I could find out. My girls did their research too and here is what one user found.

Ayres is an Argentinian founded company, with Argentinian inspired ingredients, which is operates out of Miami, FL.

While Ayres sounds like it makes amazing products, I'm wondering how that would fit with what the theme appears to be, America, or something America related. The information I found out today was great, and provided some insight into what June might hold, but the finds are conflicting- the google search theory goes more in line with the picture Glossybox rolled out. The discussion board find goes against what the picture shows, or at least seems to (through the little research I did on the company).

Maybe the Ayres reference on Instagram and the picture allude to something for an upcoming box, like July? Or maybe it's a deluxe sample that is going to be available on Glossybox for purchase?

What do you think the Glossybox spoiler pictures means??

Honest Company May 2014: Essentials Bundle Review

One of my new favorite subscription boxes is The Honest Company.  The Honest Company's subscription is a little different than most subscription services.  For example, The Honest Company calls their monthly subscription a "bundle" rather than a "box".  You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you can choose which items you want in your bundle rather than filling out a survey/profile and having the company choose your products (you mix a match five items from the list of products they provide).  You also have an option to add three more items to your monthly bundle- when you add three or more items to your bundle you will receive a 25% discount on those products.  The Honest Company  has three different types of monthly bundles: The Diapers & Wipes Bundle (one month supple of eco-friendly diapers and all natural wipes), which retails for $79.95; the Essentials Bundle (natural, non-toxic home and personal essentials), which retails for $35.95; and the Health and Wellness Bundle (vitamins and supplements); which retails for $39.95.  I chose to subscribe to the Essentials Bundle.

This month I chose the following items for my Essentials Bundle:

I am pretty picky when it comes to shampoos and conditioners but I was pleasantly surprised after using these- my hair was soft, well hydrated, and was easy to comb.  I also like that the shampoo can also be used as a body wash, which is really great, especially if you are traveling and low on luggage space!  I will definitely be reordering this combo in future bundles.

I am in LOVE with this detangler!!  It smells amazing and does a great job at detangling my hair, as well as adding some extra conditioning.  I usually use Perfect10 leave-in conditioner but this has replaced it.  I will also be purchasing this in future bundles.  The lotion is good as well, very light and smells good, but I have other lotion products like I like better so I may leave this product out of my next bundle.

This toothpaste is great!!  I love that it makes my mouth feel clean without being too overpowering.  Because the flavor is not too intense, this would be a great toothpaste for kids.

I love this soap!!  It smells AMAZING!!!  And the best part is that it does not leave a nasty residue or dry out my skin like other bar soaps.  This will definitely be something I will be re-adding to my future bundles.

I saw these towels on the website and had to try them out!!  These towels are super soft, very absorbent and are 100% organic cotton, which means you can toss them in the washer/dryer with no problem.!!  I definitely recommend these!!

Lip Shimmer $5.95
*this item was a limited edition item, and not available for resale, so I am guesstimating the price
This is a limited edition item, which was included in the Mother's Day Gift Set.  I purchased one (check out my review) and LOVED the lip shimmer!!  I had been using it sparingly because I was not sure when the website would offer this again, but I was pleasantly surprised to find one included as a free special gift in this months bundle!!

Honest Company Earth Day Tote
*this item was a free with a code, so there is no resale value to report
This was a special code add-on.  I love that the bag can be folded down to a smaller size so it fits easily in your purse or even pocket, but then also opens up to a bigger size.  When fully open this bag is slightly bigger than the reusable grocery bags you can purchase at the grocery store which is awesome!!!  I hope they end up selling these on the website or offer it again as another special code add-on because I'd like to have another, or two.

This is my second month with Honest Company Essentials Bundle.  I think next month I will be comprising my bundle with the products I've loved the most out of my last two bundles- it'll be hard to choose because all of the Honest Company's products are awesome!

What do you think of my Honest Company May Essential Bundle?

Popsugar May 2014 Box Review

Popsugar is a monthly beauty and lifestyle box subscription which costs $39.95 (which includes free shipping). I have been a subscriber of Popsugar since February and it is one of my favorite boxes!!

Each month Popsugar fills it's boxes with the most coveted products, as well as new products (some of which have yet to be released), all designed to pamper you and make you the best version of yourself.

Each box comes with a fold out card detailing the products inside your Popsugar box.

I heard a lot of subscribers talking how their dislike of this product being included in their Popsugar box, and while it is not a high priced item it is a beneficial one- bikini season is upon us and Popsugar isn't just about beauty, it's also about fitness and lifestyle. Getting people working out is no easy chore so I think Popsugar included this in our box because everyone wants to look great for bikini season, and we all have thirty minutes at home to bust out a move or two. I'm a workout person so you won't hear any complaints from me about this product being included in my box, in face I'm excited to try a workout outside of what I've already been doing.

I love this sleep mask but I will probably toss it in the gift pile or save it for trips. I'm the type of person who has to fall asleep with the TV on, bad I know LOL, so this mask would likely keep me up rather than lull me to sleep. It might come in handy when I travel but since I don't travel as much as I like I may check with a few friends to see if they might put this to better, and more frequent use than me.

I am not a fan of onions so I wasn't sure how I would like these but they're delicious!! Like some subscribers (I was reading about) I ate mine quickly; however, it took me around a week, while others devoured them in one sitting. I don't really eat chips or chip-like foods such as this but in the future if I get a craving I will definitely seek out this brand!

I LOVE this perfume!! This product alone made me stalk my Popsugar tracking info. Some subscribers didn't like the smell, saying it smells too much like sunscreen, but I think it smells lovely and by the amount of compliments I received on it so far, so do others. I will definitely be purchasing this once my free bottle runs out.

I have been eyeing these water bottles and have been wanting to try one out but hadn't pulled the trigger and bought one yet- good thing because Popsugar hooked me up!! The instructions say you can also use strawberries so I am excited to try a few different fruit-infused blends!

I was unaware of this brand prior to receiving it in my box but the review I have been reading are amazing. If you want chip proof nails this seems to be your go-to polish! It's a little opaque with just one coat, so for full coverage make sure to apply two, and then your good to go- no top coat is needed, though you can add one if you wish, and because this polish is quick drying, you won't need to worry about messing up your polish when you're running out the door.

While some subscribers were disappointed in their box, I was happy with mine. Popsugar always has a nice blend of beauty and lifestyle products, all of which, except for the sleeping mask, I will use.

What do you think of May's Popsugar box?
