Glossybox April 2014 Box Review

At this point I'm sure most Glossybox April box reviews are already out, but I wanted to go ahead a review mine anyway.

Glossybox is a monthly subscription box, which costs $21.00, and gives you deluxe samples of beauty products- ranging from skincare, to hair care, and from time to time some accessories.

Glossybox always has very pretty wrapping- makes you feel like you're opening a gift each month. I keep these boxes to use around the house (for organizing and storing), as they are just too pretty to toss in the trash.

Each Glossybox comes with a fold out card details the products contained within the box, and the pricing for the full size products.

I am excited about this lipgloss. I have read some other reviews on it and everyone seems to be pleased with it performance as well as it's color. This box contained a full size product, rather than a sample, which in my opinion makes up some of the lackluster from other products included in the box.

I have never tried eyeshadow sealer/base before. My makeup tends to be more natural than high fashion, so I don't usually have an issue with it staying put. I'm not sure whether I will try this product or if I will give it to a friend- she wears the high fashion makeup look a lot and could probably benefit more from the product than I would. This is also a full size product.

I was super happy to get to try the Caldrea Body Wash!! I have seen it before in Sephora but it's pricier than my normal body wash and I wasn't comfortable shelling out the additional money without trying the product first. This is a deluxe sample and will definitely give me an idea of whether or not I want to purchase the full size. So far I love the texture and the smell is great!!

I was less than excited to open my box and find I received this polish in "skinny dip".  Don't get me wrong, they make great polish, in many amazing colors; however, my color looks rather cheap and resembles a pumpkin with glitter.  I'm not sure how or why they chose to name this polish "skinny dip," this would not be the name I would have chosen for this color.  I may get a different impression once I apply it, but for now I'm not impressed.  This polish might get tossed in the "gift pile."  This is also a full size product, rather than a deluxe sample.

Ok here is my biggest disappointment, Aqua Spa Relax Body Creme. At first glance I loved the size of the product, it is a deluxe sample, and the smell is great, but then I noticed the coupon.

I'm all for coupons but this coupon was for Walmart, and I love Walmart, but it's not the quality of product I expected to receive from Glossybox. Glossybox is supposed to be a high end monthly sample box, with quality products like one would find in Sephora and other such stores. This body wash, in the full size version, retails for $10.00. While $10.00 isn't cheap it certainly won't break the bank if you buy it, try it and don't like it. I feel like Glossybox phoned it in on this one. And like the polish I am not impressed.

Ive been a subscriber of Glossybox for a while and have always loved my boxes- this is the first box Ive received that I am less than impressed with. I am debating on canceling my subscription. I have already paid for the May box, which is a Bergdorf Goodman collaboration. If I am not impressed with that box it may be my last for a while.

What do you think about Glossybox's Aprl box?
