Yuzen: Summer 2014 Box Review

Yuzen has become one of my favorite subscription boxes.  It is a quarterly subscription box that contains eco-conscious products, all designed to pamper you and bring a little zen into your life.  You can purchase a recurring subscription or a gift subscription- both of which cost $33.00.  Most of the products inside the box are either deluxe samples or full size products, very rarely do you get a mini sample.

I love everything about this box- the wrapping is always beautiful and the products are amazing.  This is only my second box (I received the Spring box a month or two ago) but I can honestly say that I have loved all the products I've received, and have purchased 80% of them after sampling them.

Yuzen uses beautiful wrapping for their boxes.  I'm always excited to see what design the middle strip of paper will be- last box it was cherry blossoms.  The paper is so soft and delicate!!  I wish I knew who made the paper because I would definitely purchase some for myself!!

Inside each box you will find a fold out pamphlet describing each product and why Yuzen has chosen them to be in the box.  The card also have all the discount codes you will need if you plan to purchase something from your box.

All of the content within the box are stored inside a mesh drawstring bag.  This helps keep items from shifting and breaking while going through the delivery process.  I love getting the mesh drawstring bags because you can use them for so many different things around the house.  I'll do a blog soon to show some different uses for these bags.

Upon opening my bag I immediately smelled this soap, and it smells AMAZING!!!  Sadly I had already taken my bath/shower for the night so I was not able to use this yet but tonight I am looking forward to trying it out.  Hugo Naturals Soaps are handcrafted with a unique blend of all-natural essential oils and botanical extracts, which get you squeaky clean while nourishing and conditioning your skin.

I am in LOVE with this body spray!!  I work in a very stressful environment and this body spray definitely helped me wind down after a long, long, day.  Kerstin Florian Lavender Body Spray is lightweight and moisturizing.  It's blended with soothing lavender, aloe extract, jojoba oil and vitamin E- hello baby soft skin!!  This product is also super easy to use- just mist on and massage lightly- it can be used after showers/baths or anytime during the day when your skin needs a little extra moisture.

I must confess that I don't usually use a toner in my normal skin care routine, but I was eager to try this product.  It adjusts the pH in your skin and refines your pores.  I was a little nervous it would smell funky but the smell was not bad at all, in fact I could hardly smell much of anything.

I can't wait to try this out tonight!! The sizes of this bath treatment are rather small but you only need one capful per bath- depending your preference you may only wish to use a half capful for your bath.  Lavender is a great relaxing herb that helps in combating stress as well as mental and physical fatigue.

These mints are amazing!!  Not only do they freshen your breath but they are also great for you- just three mints provides the same antioxidants as one cup of green tea!!  The Sencha offers a few different ways to purchase these mints: Tip n' Try Teapot with Mints ($24), 12 unit Tube Display Box ($35.40), 12 unite canister ($47.70), 300 count bag ($15), 5 pack canister ($19.75) and a 5 pack tube ($14.75).  These mints are a little pricier than normal mints would be, but they do so much more than regular mints- in my opinion they are definitely worth the price.

This is probably one of the coolest products I've received so far!!  Aromaflage is a fragrance but also repels bugs.  It has notes of warm cedarwood, citrus, and vanilla.  It also contains vitamin E.  I have not gotten a chance to check out how well it repels insects yet but it smells pretty amazing!!  If it works as well as it is supposed to I will definitely be purchasing the full priced bottle when my sample runs out.

I am super excited to see if this stuff actually works!!  I have read great things about it and it's results!  I love that it is vegan friendly, which means no harsh chemicals like those other lash and brow serums out there!!

This box, like my last Yuzen box was AMAZING and fully exceeded my expectations!!  For the price of the box you always get great products and sizes (this month box roughly totals $150, not bad for only paying $33)!!!  My only complaint is that Yuzen is quarterly rather than monthly- I selfishly would love to receive a box every month, as this is one of my favorite subscription services.

What do you think about the Yuzen Summer Box?
